Audubon April Adventures

Kids are out of school for the week! What to do, what to do? The Audubon Center at Bent of the River is the perfect place to be!

Join us for fun-filled days of nature lessons, games, and hikes around the Center. Space is limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. Come ONE Day or all FIVE! 

This 2018 April Adventures camp runs from April 16th through April 20th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day.  A discount is offered for those who sign up for the entire week. $50.00 per day, or $225.00 for the week.

April 16 - Sounds of Spring or Music to Tweet To!

Spring is filled with sounds of birds singing, babbling brooks, frogs croaking, bees buzzing, and wind rustling. Learn to listen to the sounds of spring and your love of nature will skyrocket.

April 17 - Life Under Logs

Is that a Spotted Salamander? A slug? Discover the diversity of insects, worms, and amphibians under a log.

April 18 - Wicked Big Puddle

Now is the time of year that salamanders, wood frogs, peepers, and other aquatic creatures are preparing for a very big night at the vernal pool. Let’s see how many animals call this temporary habitat home.

April 19 - Habitat Heroes

Help birds, bees, and butterflies survive by learning how to provide homes and food sources. Become a Habitat Hero!

April 20 - Signs of Spring

What’s new in our meadow? What can you discover? Will we find flowers blooming or animals waking up from their winter hibernation? Spend a day observing these seasonal changes!
