Outreach Programs
An Audubon Educator visits your camp, library, environmental
group, corporate meeting, or special event. Program themes
can be tailored to specific topics or events and can be held
at the Audubon Center at Bent of the River or at your location.
Home School Programs
The Home School Program at Audubon Bent of the River introduces
students to the basics of biology and ecology while nurturing
an appreciation for and an understanding of the natural world.
Students age 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18 work together and interact
to explore natural science topics in depth in and out of the
classroom.
Scout Programs
Girl and Boy Scout programs at the Audubon Center at Bent
of the River are designed to fulfill requirements needed to
complete badges and other advancements. 610 acres of diverse
ecosystems and habitats provide the perfect setting for hands-on
discovery, explorations and activities.
Family Programs
Join us for programs that explore the best features of the
sanctuary at the Audubon Center at Bent of the River! A variety
of fun, interactive and unique programs for children and families
are offered throughout the year.
Adult Programs
The Audubon Center at Bent of the River provides a variety
of adult programming throughout the year. The Adult Naturalist
Series offered during fall and spring presents up to the minute
science-based information on natural history topics. Weekend
and evening programs highlight a number of interesting natural
history and environmental topics.
